About Shopify
For new businesses wanting an easy e-commerce website there are only two big players – Shopify provides drag and drop simplicity, proven templates and an easy to use back-end which makes running a digital store a breeze. The other is WordPress running WooCommerce – and while it’s getting better it’s more suited to people with a degree of coding experience.
It’s this ease of use and an ability to add extra modules for some truly enhanced function that has seen Shopify create a growing army of kitchen-table millionaires, running automated e-commerce sites coupled up with overseas dropshippers (suppliers who will send an item to your customer for you). So whether you have a small fashion brand, are a keen crafter – or want to sell high markup Chinese goods without ever having to handle a single product, Shopify has an out-the-box solution at between $29 and $299/mo.
From the Shopify website:
Build your business: You’ve got the will. We’ve got the way.
We focus on making commerce better for everyone, so businesses can focus on what they do best: building and selling their products. Today, merchants use our platform to manage every aspect of their business — from products to orders to customers, selling online, in retail stores, and on the go.

I don’t know what I’d have done without Shopify after being let down by a web designer who said he’d be finished and never was. I looked up solutions found shopify and built a better looking store in 2 days than it took a supposed professional months to do. Bear in mine the designer was going to charge me several thousand dollars to build my store and I got it done for practically nothing. It’s easy to run, work the backend and keep track of stocks and so far no problems whatsoever. 5/5

I ran a shop on Etsy a while selling my jewelry but wasn’t happy with functionality and fees so a friend suggested a move to Shopify. It’s a learning curve but not too difficult to be impossible and there are lots of videos and tutorials available. I’m much more in control of the look and feel of my store now and think it’s running better now especially being able to upsell and cross-sell other items. Profitability is much the same but I can handle greater volume and my site looks kick-ass good.
Sammy’s Pets –
true story I miss-typed Spotify and found Shopify which I though looked interesting and took the free trial. This was 3 years ago and I now run 3 shops in the pet niche and left my job 18 months ago. Very good service with excellent support from knowledgeable team.

Shopify is the best ecomm solution I’ve tried and I’ve tried them all from woocommerce to Magento and everything in between. It seems expensive if you add all the extra functions you need to make a great store but it’s worth it for the reliability speed and everything it can do. Hooked up to a print on demand service and some good Facebook ads and I’m clearing between $18-22k per month. Like I say it SEEMs expensive and if I didn’t have a good system in place it would be, but that’s exactly what Shopify allows for…. great interconnected semi-automated systems for profit
Sassy Shopper –
Wholesale Ted and Sarah Crisp got me interested in Shopify and I am now running a dropshipping business with AliExpress. Made my first $1000 profit this month and I know I can scale it to big things. There’s so much available online to help and the Shopify team are also very helpful when I had some issues integrating automation.
