About Shopify
For new businesses wanting an easy e-commerce website there are only two big players – Shopify provides drag and drop simplicity, proven templates and an easy to use back-end which makes running a digital store a breeze. The other is WordPress running WooCommerce – and while it’s getting better it’s more suited to people with a degree of coding experience.
It’s this ease of use and an ability to add extra modules for some truly enhanced function that has seen Shopify create a growing army of kitchen-table millionaires, running automated e-commerce sites coupled up with overseas dropshippers (suppliers who will send an item to your customer for you). So whether you have a small fashion brand, are a keen crafter – or want to sell high markup Chinese goods without ever having to handle a single product, Shopify has an out-the-box solution at between $29 and $299/mo.
From the Shopify website:
Build your business: You’ve got the will. We’ve got the way.
We focus on making commerce better for everyone, so businesses can focus on what they do best: building and selling their products. Today, merchants use our platform to manage every aspect of their business — from products to orders to customers, selling online, in retail stores, and on the go.
Alison Peters –
Shopify is good but watch out for breaking their terms as I found out the hard way with a dropshipping store I set up and lost my work when they closed it down. My other store where I make and sell MY OWN product is perfect so I cannot fault them for what was my own mistake, I just wish I’d had more of a chance to make amends
