About Shopify
For new businesses wanting an easy e-commerce website there are only two big players – Shopify provides drag and drop simplicity, proven templates and an easy to use back-end which makes running a digital store a breeze. The other is WordPress running WooCommerce – and while it’s getting better it’s more suited to people with a degree of coding experience.
It’s this ease of use and an ability to add extra modules for some truly enhanced function that has seen Shopify create a growing army of kitchen-table millionaires, running automated e-commerce sites coupled up with overseas dropshippers (suppliers who will send an item to your customer for you). So whether you have a small fashion brand, are a keen crafter – or want to sell high markup Chinese goods without ever having to handle a single product, Shopify has an out-the-box solution at between $29 and $299/mo.
From the Shopify website:
Build your business: You’ve got the will. We’ve got the way.
We focus on making commerce better for everyone, so businesses can focus on what they do best: building and selling their products. Today, merchants use our platform to manage every aspect of their business — from products to orders to customers, selling online, in retail stores, and on the go.

easy to set up but I had nothing but problems once the orders started coming in with customers orders not showing up. I only discovered this when 3 friends ordered and asked what was happening with their purchases and I checked but nothing was showing. Support staff were less than amazing and after 2 months of trying and trying with only intermittent success I moved to another platform. I’ve since been fine so it’s wholly down to a glitch in shopify system
